Movie #42- Juno

It Started With A Chair

Juno

Really liked this one. Quick, funny and smart. Ellen Page is pretty hilarious, as well as Michael Cera being his regular awkward and dweeby George-Michael self.

Movie #41- Little Miss Sunshine

A real loser is someone who's so afraid of not winning, he doesn't even try...

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

After 2 days of "meh" movies, this one comes as a savoir of the week. Probably the best movie I have watched all week. Really smart, funny, and just enjoyable. Only one movie left in my "Movies my sister says I should watch/Movies I wouldn't normally watch" week, and this and "(500) days of summer" have taken the cake for the best so far, Can Juno trump them tomorrow? We shall see

Movie #39-#40- Nick and Norahs' Infinite playlist/ The Way Way Back

I got busy/ Lazy and forgot to put these two movies up here, so here they are now! (entertain us). Two of my least liked movies so far. Both pretty meh, not necessarily bad but not really good. Anyway, this is another 20 movies so I will be ranking them again for my own amusement shortly. yay!

Movie #38- (500) Days of Summer

This is not a Love Story...

(500) Days of Summer (2009)

Probably the best movie I will watch all week. I know I shouldn't make up my mind so quickly but I just really liked this movie. I really enjoy non-linear narratives as well as cool and unusual techniques used to tell stories, so this was good. As far as "Romantic" movies go, this may be the best I have seen.

Movie #37- 10 Things I Hate About You

Can't Take my eyes off you...

10 Things I hate About You (1999)

This kicks off my week of "Movies My Sister says I should watch" AKA Movies I would not normally watch. This movie was okay. Some little chuckles here and there, nothing too special. I particularly liked Heath Ledger singing, that scene was cool. Average movie

Movie #36- See No Evil, Hear No Evil

Did she say ship?

See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989)

Again with the Gene Wilder! He is just really good. This movie was fun, a few stand out funny moments. Good performances from everyone. It may have been a bit too long but I enjoyed it mostly, the film never quite reached the same level of funny that it reached in the opening scene

Movie #35- Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind

Adults are like, this mess of Sadness and Phobias

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

I actually watched two movies today, this and "Bad Ass" with Danny Trejo. This was the better of the two, so this is the one I am posting. A wonderful movie that is smart, thoughtful and visually striking. Being the huge Jim Carrey fan that I am it was great seeing him do something I hadn't see him do before. I was a little shaky on what exactly was going on at the beginning of the movie, but when I understood I was hooked.

Movie #34- Young Frankenstein

There, Wolf. There, Castle

Young Frankenstein (1974)

One of the funniest movies I have watched so far. I am on a real Gene Wilder high lately and he makes it evident why in this movie. So funny, great joke on top of great joke. It may have been a bit too long but I really didn't care. And plus, how freakin' cool is that poster?!

Movie #33- Bubble Boy

Five Hundred Dolla!

Bubble Boy (2001)

Sorry (To my hundreds of dedicated fans) that I was late posting this, rest assured I did watch it yesterday, so the streak was not broken! Bubble boy was goofy and fun., Nothing amazing, but fun nonetheless

Movie #32- The Monster Squad

Creature Stole my Twinkie...

The Monster Squad (1987)

This movie was basically the Goonies, mixed with the ghostbusters, mixed with The Lost Boys, so in other words... It was AWESOME! Very much my cup of tea, enjoyable from start to finish, one of my favorite movies so far! Also, thanks to Zack Ryder for talking about this movie and referencing it on his brilliant web series "Z! True Long Island Story" because he is the only reason that I knew this movie existed. Did I like this film? Woo Woo Woo, You know it!

Movie #31- The Producers

Will the dancing Hitlers please wait in the wings!?

The Producers (1967)

A great classic Mel Brooks comedy! Some parts were absolutely hilarious. Gene Wilder stole the movie, with his over the top performance he was never off beat. As I am making a little short film about Hitler myself, all of "Springtime for Hitler" was just so entertaining and funny.
